Undergraduate students are invited to apply for a place on the National Humanities Leadership Council 2025-26, which offers professional development and mentorship opportunities for students interested in the humanities, broadly defined. Jordan Ho '27 was selected for the council in 2024-25.
Council members take part in discussion sessions with thought leaders exploring the importance of humanistic perspectives in contemporary society. Selected students will also have the opportunity to pursue individual or collective humanities projects and network with professionals from academia, nonprofit work, the arts, science communication, museum curation, activism, and advocacy.
The Council is open to any undergraduate students with an interest in the humanities. Applicants are NOT required to have declared concentrations or majors in humanities fields. Applications will be accepted through October 18, 2025. Student applicants may access the application portal on the National Humanities Center website.
