Overview

History of the House

Looking up at the Humanities Center building, it's not just a house but a home. Built in the early twentieth century, Julia Richards sold the property to Lehigh in 1959. She continued to live there for sometime until it became the Chaplain's Residence in the 1960s. It housed three generations of Lehigh Chaplains including Raymond Eugene Fuessle, Hugh Flesher, and Lloyd Steffen and their families.
